DRAFTS

Percherons, Shires, Belgians, Morgans

Drafts are renowned for their strong legs, large hooves and heavy size.  They are respected for their ability to do hard labor and are referred to as work horses.  A Clydesdale is a breed of draft which originated in the seventeenth century.  However, as big as they are, is as sweet as they are – truly gentle giants. We feel extremely blessed, honored and lucky that we were chosen to adopt them into our loving family.

SHIRES

Shires are renowned for their ability to pull heavy weights and yet are so majestic. They are respected for their ability to respond and listen to commands, as they are very intelligent. They are originally from England. In 1959, only 25 were in the U.S., but today 121 are registered. With so little left, we certainly feel extremely blessed, honored and lucky that we were chosen to adopt them into our loving family.

BELGIUM CROSSES

Belgium Crosses are renowned for they were considered the most direct lineal descendants of the “Great Horse” of Medieval times. The were the most likely bred to carry knights into battle. They origin is from Belgium, hence their name. They are so beautiful with their feathered legs. Considering their history, we feel so extremely blessed, honored and lucky that we were chosen to adopt them into our loving family.

MORGANS

Morgans are renowned for being one of the earliest horse breeds developed in the United States. They are respected for being a refined breed, and they come in all colors. They have many talents, stylish walks and such a mild temperament. We feel extremely blessed, honored and lucky that we were chosen to adopt them into our loving family.

PERCHERONS

Percherons are renowned for their strength, stamina and willingness to work. They are respected for being intelligent, responsive and affection. They love to please. They originated in western France in Perche Province, hence their name. We feel extremely blessed, honored and lucky that we were chosen to adopt them into our loving family.
